Super Aramith Pro-Cup Tournament Pyramid – balls made of phenol-aldehyde resin produced by the Belgian company Saluc S.A., the world leader in the production of billiard balls. The set contains 15 balls with numbers and a Russian pyramid cue ball of a smaller diameter of 67 mm. The quality level of Super Pro balls meets the needs of the most demanding professionals and amateurs. Balls of this level are constantly used in various international tournaments, including official tournaments.
67 millimetre balls are the result of many years of technological development and practical experiments carried out by the manufacturer, the Billiard Sport Federation and many players, including those at the highest level. The aim of these efforts is to take the game of Pyramid to a completely new qualitative level, making it more dynamic, spectacular and interesting.
The weight of each ball in the set is 256 grams and reducing the weight of the balls reduces the load on the game equipment. This in turn increases the life of the billiard cloth, rubber on the cushions, pockets and stickers on the cues.
Super Pro balls combine the latest technology with the most thorough quality control. This has made the phenol-aldehyde resin even stronger and more homogeneous, and the glassy surface of the balls can retain its lustre for years with proper care. In addition to the aesthetic benefits, the wear and tear on the cloth is significantly reduced. As a result, the Saluc company claims that the Aramith Super Pro is the most cost-effective product for sports clubs in terms of long-term investment, with the lowest annual costs, including savings on replacing the cloth.
Saluc company, manufacturer of billiard balls under the Aramith brand, which has become the industry standard, was founded in Belgium in 1923. The company started producing billiard balls from phenol-aldehyde resin in 1950 and over the years has become a world monopoly, having patented the material and selling 80% of the world’s balls for all types of billiards: pool, snooker, pyramid and carambole. Today, Salus controls the entire production chain, from the production of the resin to the sale of finished sets of balls of various levels.
The entire technological process is kept secret, but it is known that it takes more than 20 days from the beginning of resin production in Salus’ own chemical plant to the final polishing.
During the production process and at the end of the line, the balls are checked for a number of parameters: homogeneity of structure, perfect sphericity, perfect appearance, all of which are characteristic of Aramith billiard balls and have enabled the company to achieve worldwide recognition among professional players, amateurs and billiard associations.
